Kids Hope USA

There are many people in our church who want to reach out to a child, but they do not know how. KIDS HOPE USA gives our church a proven framework to engage our members as mentors and behind-the-scenes prayer partners in the life of a child who needs social, academic, or emotional support. Jamestown Reformed Church partners with Jamestown Elementary.

KIDS HOPE USA churches focus on elementary school children at that time in their lives when values are formed, self-esteem is developed, and basic academic skills are acquired. These are the critical years.

Mentors commit to meeting with their child at school for one hour each week for one year. During the hour, time is spent doing academic work, playing, laughing, and encouraging the child. Behind-the-scenes prayer partners support the mentors and pray faithfully for the child and mentor.
