MOPS

What is MOPS?
MOPS (Mothers of Preschool Students) is an international organization. The purpose of MOPS is to nurture every mother of preschoolers by meeting her distinct needs to the glory of Jesus Christ. This purpose is accomplished primarily through relationships, which are built in chartered MOPS groups.

What do we do at MOPS?
MOPS is like a support group. We support each other as moms, wives, and friends. We laugh and cry with each other. We have small groups once a month, in that time we pray for special needs and just listen. We pray and support those moms who are struggling. We also have speakers that speak on a variety of subjects -- everything from time management to dealing with temper tantrums and much more.

When does MOPS meet?
Jamestown MOPS will be starting on Wednesday October 7th; and meets on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month from 9:15 until 11:15 a.m. (Please arrive at 9 a.m. to get the children settled in their room. Activities are planned for them as well!)

Who should come to MOPS?
Are you a mom of a preschooler? If you would like prayer support, friendship, growth, and just having a great time getting to know how to be a better mom, wife, and sister in Christ, then MOPS is for you. So, come join us.

What is the theme for MOPS this year?
The theme for the 2009-2010 year is Life On Planet Mom. Our theme verse is taken from Matthew 18:20: "Where two or three come together...there I am with them."  Join us this year as we equip moms to learn more about themselves as they navigate motherhood.
